It seems like anywhere you look you see pre-schoolers using tablets and smartphones. For older people, those 70 and above, they may be wondering what’s up with that.

• Listen to music. Have you moved far from where your favorite local radio station originates? You can find them online and tune in whenever you like. That’s just the beauty of the Internet.


• From clothes to books to cameras and holiday gifts, you don’t ever have to set foot in a store again. Why, you can even fill out a food shopping list and have everything home-delivered. All while watching your favorite soap opera or golf game.


• Stay connected with family and friends. With all of the social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, etc., you can stay in touch with your children, your grandchildren, old friends, and neighbors a few miles away. You can tell them all about your day and see what they’re doing too.

Today’s technology is a real boon to people as they get older. There’s no reason for anyone to be sitting it out on the sidelines any longer. Get online and get connected!
